About Tellico Mountain Lift Rental

Our History

Before starting an extensive home improvement project in the Spring of 2023, I searched and researched my options for working well above the ground at my home. It needed several things: prep work before restaining, replacement of some fascia, some window trim, some siding replaced, some sanding, washing and scrubbing along with a lot of determination. After looking at ladders, ladder jacks, scaffolding and walk boards, and considering the time and effort of putting those up and climbing them, I decided to continue researching my options. I was no spring chicken and the risk of bouncing off the ground would not be tolerated very well I’m sure. Eventually I came across towable manlifts that were relatively lightweight, easy to tow and would put me high up at the sides of my house, close to the work. After settling on an option for my projects I discovered the the closest rental option for me was in Maryville or Blue Ridge at one the big chain home stores.

Having a busy work schedule and life aside from home improvements I saw myself hauling this thing back and forth time and again or it sitting unused while I was working or had another engagements. At this point I began looking at prices of lifts and the feasibility of owning one and considering the possibilities of an equipment rental business to meet the needs locally of homeowners and builders. So in September of ’23 I drove to Greer SC and picked up my Niftylift TM34. I brought it home and learned to used it, figuring out its capabilities and limitations. By the next month I’d gotten a business license, business cards, client agreements/contracts and insurance. Soon I’d booked my first client, a friend from work with some tree trimming to do. Over the next several months I realized just how much I enjoyed meeting clients, hearing about their projects, and helping them any way that I could with my equipment. I wanted to hear how their work went, how the lift helped them, or if it fell short of their expectations as far as what it was capable of.

After getting builders and homeowners high since ‘23, I’m adding some new to me equipment and hope to continue to add in the coming months and years. Honestly I don’t have business experience and am learning as I go. It’s exciting. Such possibilities. It’s scary. It’s been a big investment of time and money. I do know a lot of people around here, lots of neighbors and friends, lots in construction. I truly love this community and am glad to be part of it. I’d also like to add that I desire your business and your input. I’m learning as I go. I want to be competitive in pricing and convenient for my customers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone, by text or by email. Here’s my number again 4238364650 and my email is jacob@tellicomountainlift.com.

Also, as I am the one who built this website, along with the GoDaddy platform, and it’s my first go at this, its navigation and user-friendliness may be less than ideal. I will continue to tweak and improve after its launch. So if there’s any question about the equipment, pricing, delivery fees don’t hesitate to contact me. And if you made it to the end of this rambling story THANK YOU and God Bless!

What’s a lift worth for my project?

Home Renovations and New Construction

The use of a manlift or materials lift can greatly increase productivity on your project of home renovation or building projects. This includes painting, staining, sanding, cleaning, gutter repair or installation, window replacement at heights, soffit and fascia work, etc. The list goes on and on.

Safety

• Stable platform – Safer than ladders, which can slip or require constant repositioning.

• Fall protection  – Most lifts include guardrails and harness tie-off points.

• Controlled access – Workers don’t have to walk on fragile or steep sections of roof.

Efficiency

Better quality of work

Better quality of work

• Quick access – Instead of setting up scaffolding or constantly moving ladders, you can drive or reposition the lift.

• Reach hard spots – Eaves, chimneys, dormers, and steep pitches are easier to work on from a lift.

• Less fatigue – Workers spend less energy climbing ladders and hauling tools.
